Melissa is committed to both the beginning student as well as professional actors, going way above what’s expected from a coach. Her comedic timing is impeccable and she’s able to take something that feels so innate and make it teachable. And her feedback is the best - when you nail it, you’ll know it because she bursts into spasms of laughter.

Melissa's Approach To Coaching...
My goal is to put you in the strongest position to do your best work, book gigs and keep them! So whether you’re a pro or a newbie, having an attitude of curiosity and openness to exploration will inspire exciting acting choices that are authentically you -- and that's the name of the game to making lasting impressions.
During our sessions, we find places to elevate a joke, physicalize a beat and deepen the character’s arc. We also discover those super powerful moments (that many actors miss) when simply listening is the best choice. As a working actor, my creative toolbox is loaded with tips and techniques, and it brings me great joy to share my many favorites to help you in pursuing your goals.

Melissa is great. She’s developed a keen eye and is able to see the sorts of little things we often miss when watching our own work. As a consequence, she’s able to tweak my auditions to be, well, better.
SAG Award Nominee
Series Regular, Showtime's Weeds
What sets Melissa apart is her ear. She has an intuitive sense of the pitch and rhythm required in a scene and has the ability to relay that quickly to the actor. She has more patience than anyone I know, and will literally give you the shirt off her back if it fits the character better than the one you have on.
Ovation Award Winner
NCIS, How To Get Away With Murder
Melissa and I have auditioned and worked together on numerous projects and in the last few years she has coached me on many Guest Star auditions as well. Melissa speaks the actors language. Insightful with acerbic wit and attention to detail.
40 plus Guest Star roles
Series Regular, Fox's Titus
Melissa has worked with me off and on for years, most recently after I'd taken time away from acting. Not only did she bring out some long-buried instincts, but Melissa coached me to take risks, get out of my own way, and actually have fun prepping for my audition.

For the last five years Melissa has been a comfort and calming presence in my life. As my mentor, she's answered questions and provided a wealth of knowledge. I've been able to bounce ideas off of her and better understand the lay of this crazy LA land we are living in. Melissa's made it a fun journey!
